About the Event
Workshop Description: Explore the ancient tradition of turning fiber into fabric. In this workshop you will learn a brief history of felt making and get hands-on experience with the ancient art. We will felt a ball (acorn) in addition to learning to felt and full a swatch. Witness the magical steps that, together, turn wool and silk fibers into a beautiful piece of felt fabric.
Instructor Bio: Rosie Boone is a felt maker living in Old La Sal, Utah. She, along with her sister, owns Desert Thread Yarn Shop & Fiber Arts Gallery in downtown Moab.
